Before Upsilon Connect, LSU relied on a basic membership management platform that created major barriers to engagement, including:
- Members logged in only once a year
- Emails were often blacklisted, limiting communication
- No mobile app experience
- Complicated login and navigation
- Reporting was basic
In addition, prior to implementing CampusGroups LSU lacked transparency, relied heavily on word of mouth and email, and had limited access to resources as well as accessibility. The fraternity needed a modern solution that could scale with its growth and deliver a unified member experience.
