From our humble beginnings in the basement of the University of Toronto's student orientation department, OOHLALA's mission has always remained the same: to make college a positive experience for every student.
What started as an app for students to find out about events around campus quickly evolved into a complete student experience platform - with administrative tools, assessment capabilities, real-time alerts, and other features designed to build a campus community.
Our focus has always been to build something students would not just use - but also enjoy. As our platform and its capabilities expanded, we always built with a 'student-first' design mentality.
Today we're proud to serve over 200 institutions and their combined 1 million+ students in 13 countries. We're honored to count some of our oldest partners, such as Lindsey Wilson College and McGill University, and some of our newest, Elizabethtown College and Arkansas State, and all of those in between, as part of the OOHLALA family. We're thrilled that our partners have had the opportunity to share their successes in the media and at conferences and webinars across the country.
But we're not done yet.
As John C. Maxwell once said, "Nothing of significance was ever achieved [...] alone."
Today we're thrilled to announce that we've taken an exponential leap towards realizing our vision for student success, as OOHLALA Mobile will be merging with DubLabs, the industry leader in integrating campus technology for mobile systems.
As soon as we met the DubLabs team, we recognized that they shared our passions for serving students, working across the campus with IT departments to build SIS and LMS integrations that bring all of a students' in-classroom and academic tools straight to their mobile devices. With over 150 partners and industry-leading expertise in higher education technology, they are the perfect complement to our student engagement portfolio.
Together we will be building a complete student success tool - bridging campus technology and communication gaps, helping students navigate their academic & co-curricular lives and providing administrators with richer, more actionable data.
For all of our partners: we're excited to embark on this new phase of our journey together, and our commitments to you remain unchanged. We will be honoring all of our existing relationships and looking forward to discussing how we can add additional value in the future.
With 4 out of every 10 students not completing their degree program, we know there is still a lot of work to be done to transform the student experience. There will be a lot more information to share over the coming weeks as we work towards bringing our teams and expertise together and unveil our new company brand, products and capabilities.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the near future.
